Sources in Yemen have reported about a new victory of the Mujahideen of al-Qaeda on the Arabian Peninsula. According to preliminary data, AQAP fighters were able to eliminate and injure 34 more puppets of the combined forces of puppet army and so-called "popular committees" in the Mujahideen-besieged town of Laudar in northern Abyan, reports UmmaNews.

AQAP command reported that at 8 am on April 30, soldiers and gangs of committeemen operating in Lauder attempted to advance to the electric plant in order to establish control over it.

According to the commanders of AQAP, the Mujahideen allow them to approach the plant, without putting up any resistance, and entering the area, the puppets got trapped: Islamic fighters opened up heavy fire on them and in the first minutes of battle could kill and injure a large number of them.

AQAP command emphasized that a military ringleader of the tribal militants Abbas was among the eliminated puppets. Mujahideen found 200,000 rials with him.

One of the founders of the "people's committees" was also wounded during the battle. After a series of successful ambush actions by AQAP, enemy tanks and armored military vehicles Hamizah tried to get closer to the battlefield and evacuate the bodies of their comrades, but they managed to take only a few wounded, the others were still left lying on the battlefield. Mujahideen managed to destroy one of the tanks.

The puppet regime reported the death of five soldiers, including a colonel, during the Mujahideen assault on the barracks of 111th Brigade.

In turn, al-Qaeda emphasized that during the operation the Mujahideen did not incur any losses, although battles were fought in the open field. One of the main reasons for the defeat of puppets was a weak military-strategic planning of their leadership.

A Mujahid of AQAP said that during the battle near the town of Laudar, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula succeeded in capturing 20 tanks, small arms and other weapons.

Meanwhile, AQAP continues operations in the neighboring to Abyan province of Lahij. It has been reported about the elimination of Abdulaqader al-Shami, the director of regime's political security in the province of Lahij.

Mujahideen planted a targeted IED on the side of the road in the Eyad region which is located on the Lahij - Aden, and detoneted it at the time of travel of a car with the ringleader. According to the Mujahideen, the burned bodies of the puppets were thrown out of the car by explosion.

However, the AQAP has not yet confirmed the elimination of al-Shami. For its part, the puppet regime claimed that the ringleader and two of his bodyguards were seriously injured and are in critical condition. According to other information, all of them were killed on the spot.

The command also confirmed the elimination of yet another ringleader of Lahij, the political security service colonel of the puppet regime.

A source in the AQAP explained that the Mujahideen killed the colonel at 7:30 am on Saturday, eliminating him in the provincial capital of Hawtah. The ringleader was responsible for the arrest and brutal torture of Muslims and desecration of Islamic sanctities he performed using his official position. The fact of elimination was also admitted by the puppets.

In addition, the Mujahideen killed a senior officer of the puppet security in the province of Hadramawt. Major Adnan Ukaish, deputy director of the drug combating department in the eastern province of Hadramawt was eliminated by mobile unit of AQAP, which intercepted his car in Ghail Bawazeer area.
